Small forward
Current Team
BC Mega Bemax

Cerovina looks like an old school kind of player. Left handed, 6’7” tall point forward who can attack from the perimeter, but also to back down and play on low post when guarded by smaller defender. Solid 3pt shot. Long arms help him in blocking shots at solid level for an outside player. Didn’t have the best season in 2017/18 u19 league. Managed to have a first team debut right after signing first proffessional contract with Mega Bemax. Won gold medal on u18 EC in 2018.

  • ability to post up
  • size and length
  • perimeter shot
  • shot blocking

  • lack of athleticism
  • his numbers oscillate too much from game to game, not constant
  • needs to get stronger

U19 ABA League stage 1 review:

LUKA CEROVINA– Another young player that has experience playing on senior level basketball. ’00 born player was the oldest player in Mega’s squad which made him a natural leader of the team. 6’7 SF had all around games and reminded others on his performances on ANGT in February. Averaged 20.5ppg, 7.3rpg, 4.5apg and 1.8spg. Scored 35pts vs Igokea, in the game which decided who will be the last member of F4, but his team lost the game eventually in tight finish. Just like other players who already play in senior divisions, higher level of maturity is visible. Left handed forward had very good shooting tournament, had 45.2% behind the arc. Was scoring shots off the dribble and some tougher shots which wasn’t really common for him. Again showed nice skillset on the post, ability to back up smaller players and to score fadeaway jumpers over them. Far from flashy ball handler, but he is very surewith the ball in his hands, uses dribbles very smartly. Solid driver to the hoop, thanks to his length and good body control on drives can score layups and shots around the rim. Usage of weaker hand is an issue, goes to stronger side in almost every case. Defensively did solid job, had couple of steals, and even blocks that led his team to a fast break. Body language is not on the best level, doesn’t always give 100% of energy.

U18 European championship 2018 preview:

Season with a lot of ups and downs is behind #7 ranked Point forward from Mega Bemax. Had some very good games for senior team after his debut, but wasn’t very constant for u19 squad. Highlight of his season is great performance on ANGT Belgrade in February when he was part of All tournament team. Luka is talented, left handed outside player who can play in and out, too. Has great and useful post skills. Coming u18 is his first tournament for national team.

ANGT Final8 2018 recap:

Cerovina had struggles with his 3pt shot through whole tournament, shooting 5/20 behind the arc. Didn’t played on the highest level of performances, but he managed to have solid tournament in the end, mostly thanks to last game vs Real Madrid where he scored 17pts, and had both 8 rebs and assists. Has bring quicker and better decisions in future. Luka played solid when he had the ball in his hands, but off ball game was an issue. Managed to hit some of the low range shots from post game, which was his main strength on Belgrade ANGT in February.

Preview ANGT Final8 2018:

Luka Cerovina is first among them. 6’7” left handed forward will try to repeat good games he had in ANGT Belgrade in February where he was member of All tournament Team. Luka didn’t have the best possible season in Serbia with ’99 generation. Still, managed to have senior debut and to have some decent games in Superliga. He is expected to be a leader of this ’00 Mega Bemax. With length he has, offensive skillset and improving shot he will be tough matchup for every team
